Vaarwel (Goodbye) Amsterdam
Sorry for the long delay with the blog posts! The hotel I stayed at in London was very stingy with their wifi so I couldn’t do any blogging. Anyway I’m writing from Ireland but I’m going to catch you all up with my travels from the past week.
My mom and I finished off our last day in Amsterdam in true Amsterdam fashion. We woke up and decided to indulge ourselves and get our hair blown out. As you can see we were very happy with the fabulous results.

We did have grand plans to go to museums and fill up on some culture, but instead we went to our new favorite coffee shop, Grey Area, and filled up on coffee shop culture. Hey can you blame us it was our last day?! After, we were feeling a little hungry so we walked to The Pancake Bakery (as recommended by my friend Rachel). We had some of the most delicious Dutch Pancakes ever. Granted it could have been the coffee shop talking, but still when you have a pancake topped with strawberries, vanilla ice cream, chocolate, and whipped cream, how can that not be amazing?

Just look at that beauty. It truly is an art form. After our pancake we decided to walk around the Red Light District a little since it was still daylight. (Like I said, I don’t want to start in Taken 3.) We stumbled across another coffee shop called the Grasshopper and decided to take a look. After enjoying ourselves we headed back the hotel for a little R&R before dinner.
Dinner was at this delicious French restaurant that was right on a canal and not far from our hotel. The food was absolutely fantastic and I can tell you know I ate way too much. There was a delicious soup course, and fish course, and fresh vegetable appetizer that was to die for. Dessert was also amazing, consisting of fresh fruit and sorbet. Needless to say it was a delicious meal.
With our tummies fully stuffed, we decided to walk around and maybe find a coffee shop or two to celebrate our last night. The night was filled with great food and good laughs. I think it’s safe to say that my mother and I will miss Amsterdam. This city has been absolutely amazing and is a place I would love to visit again. However, I must end my love story to Amsterdam. Check the blog soon for an update about my London trip! Well until next time!! xx
