Things I've Learned About NYC Thus Far

For three blissful weeks I've been able to call New York City my home. After these short weeks I've come to three conclusions; 1. I can definitely see myself living here after college. 2. I've fallen head over heals in love for the island of Manhattan and dread the day I have to cross a bridge back to the mainland. And 3. I have so much more to learn, experience, and see in the city, in the next four weeks.

I have learned some things about New York, which I put into a short little list for my lovely readers below:

  1. The flashing orange hand on the crossing signal signs is just a guideline. Run your heart out to cross that street. You have time.
  2. Like Buddy the Elf said: "The yellow one don't stop" so be wary of those dangerous taxis.
  3. The city skyline at night from the LES (Lower East Side) could be one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
  4. Seamless (or Grubhub) is an invention of the gods and I will be entirely grateful.
  5. Drinks are hella expensive.
  6. The parks are a tiny piece of heaven. A solitude away from the bustling life of the city.
  7. New York has the best pizza and bagels in the country. (I know from experience.)
  8. There is always something to do, always something to see, and always a new restaurant to try.
And last but not least....

     9. There is always something new to fall in love with in New York. And I intend to fall in love with city over and over again.

Sorry there are no pictures to accompany this post, just my heartfelt words about a city that has stolen my heart. Also sorry this post is so sappy. xxx
